Cloud Dragons were originally concepted by Henzy, where they started as a humble set of adoptables that had mixed the traits of dragons with animals such as cats and stout dog breeds like corgis (lol). They had been stuck in WIP stage for several months in 2016 but with the help and encouragement of co-creator, CC, the very first set was completed. From there, it was decided that they would combine their artistic powers to make these creatures into a much bigger collaborative project to share with many people who also love to look up at the clouds as well as adore colorful, cute animal things! Every individual dragon has been worked on together by both artists with much love and care. (They have a hard time letting them go)

They began as an attempt to figure out a way to work a set of beautiful sunset photographs (taken by our very own artists!) into an assortment of fluffy, super adorable critters. Each and every one is as unique as the sunset/sunrise that inspired the combination of their colors and markings. At their conception, it was decided that these creatures would be of course, dragons, but more specifically, baby lung (eastern-type) dragons with an affiliation to the sky, cloud formations, and weather, as well as the magical elemental association with them. (ex: wind, ice, water, lightning).

From the beginning it was planned that these creatures could have some sort of branching evolution to them as an interesting way to add a twist to the usual set of adoptables. It is very exciting to see which dragons might ascend in the future, and being a multi dimensional creature, they can fit in with most worlds and settings no matter what form they decide to take on!

We are happy to share these creations with people and we hope that they can bring joy and inspiration to whomever decides to take one home~
